چکیده
Development of a premixed flame theory that includes the effects stretch and curvature has been at forefront combustion research. Diffusion dominated flames such as highly curved balls present challenging structure not included in current so far. In flames, relationship between consumption speed negative displacement usually marks boundary what can predict. this work, our objective is to derive general formulation which naturally relationship. We use flamelet equations derived using mass based rate show if diffusion flux unburnt side ignored, normally done theory, describe propagation different types be derived. Based on thin reaction zone assumption, solutions from are verified against numerical results for 1D ideal balls. Further verification multi-dimensional ball-like where both convection regions flames. It shown extended able predict kinematics better way by describing well.

Correlation of Flame Speed with Stretch in Turbulent Premixed Methane/air Flames
Direct numerical simulations of two-dimensional unsteady premixed methane/air flames are performed to determine the correlation of flame-speed with stretch over a wide range of curvatures and strain rates generated by intense two-dimensional turbulence. Lean and stoichiometric premixtures are considered with a detailed C1-mechanism for methane oxidation. The computed correlation shows the exist...
متن کاملFlame Interactions in Turbulent Premixed Twin V-flames
Multiple flame-flame interactions in premixed combustion are investigated using Direct Numerical Simulations of twin turbulent V-flames for a range of turbulence intensities and length scales. Interactions are identified using a novel Automatic Feature Extraction (AFE) technique, based on data registration using the Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform. Information on the time, position and type...
متن کاملFlame Speed Characteristics of Syngas (H2-CO) with Straight Burners for Laminar Premixed Flames
Laminar flame speeds of undiluted syngas (H2/CO) mixtures have been studied at atmospheric conditions using chemiluminescence and schlieren techniques for a straight cylindrical burner apparatus. A wide range of mixture composition, from pure H2 to 1/99 % H2/CO, has been investigated for lean premixed syngas flames. To achieve a better flame stabilization and reduce flame flashback propensity, ...
متن کاملTurbulence-Flame Interactions in Lean Premixed Dodecane Flames
Turbulent lean premixed dodecane/air flames are simulated in a doubly-periodic domain using detailed kinetics and transport over a range of Karlovitz number. We observe extensive thickening of thermal profiles through the flames that increases with turbulent intensity. The high Lewis number of the flames acts to suppress wrinkling of the flame resulting in considerably lower turbulent flame spe...
متن کاملFlame Flashback and Propagation of Premixed Flames near a Wall
The flashback or propagation of premixed flames along the near-wall low-velocity region at the base of a laminar boundary layer of a reactive mixture has been studied numerically. The analysis, carried out using the constant density approximation for an Arrhenius overall reaction, accounts for the effects of the Lewis number of the fuel. The flow field, as seen by an observer moving with the fr...
